Open interest options11/1/2023 To comprehend 'what is OI in option chain,' we must look at the benefits of using it. Open Interest does not relay the information if the options were bought or sold but provides valuable information regarding options trading. So, simultaneously there are ten long contracts and ten short. Joe buys five contracts, and Mitch buys five contracts from Raymond. Traders Joe, Mitch, Raymond, and Rachel are engaged in options trading, and let us analyze their daily trading activity across two days.įirst day: Raymond sells ten contracts. Let us understand 'what is open interest' with a market demonstration. If one contract is being sold and bought, the OI is 1. The one who buys is supposedly long on the trade, and the one who sells is short. Every options trading has two stages: buying and selling. The Open Interest provides a lot of data regarding the options like volume, bid price, ask price, etc. Of course, during daily trading, if the options are more open than closed, the open interest increases and vice versa. These active options are traded but not liquidated by exercising trading rights. Open interest measures the total number of options contracts existing for a stock. While options trading, you either create new contacts (open them) or liquidate them (close contracts). For example, they might look for options contracts with high open interest and volume, as they can be easier to trade.Options interest meaning does not simply entail buying or selling stocks. Trading Strategies: Options traders might use open interest to find potentially profitable trading opportunities.Hedging and Risk Management: Institutional investors and fund managers often use options open interest data to plan hedging strategies to protect portfolios against adverse price movements.High open interest at a particular strike price can act as an area of resistance or support. Support and Resistance Levels: Some traders analyze open interest at different strike prices to identify levels where the market may potentially find levels of support or resistance.Conversely, decreasing open interest can signal that the market is liquidating, and perhaps a potential change in market direction. An increase in open interest might indicate new money coming into the market, suggesting that the current trend is likely to continue. Market Sentiment: Open interest can also be used as an indicator of market sentiment. This liquidity makes it easier for traders to enter or exit positions at fair market prices. Liquidity Indicator: A higher open interest indicates a higher level of liquidity for the options contract.Institutional Activity: Large trading volumes can sometimes indicate institutional activity, which may reflect professional opinions about the direction of the price of the underlying asset. This historical comparison can provide a context for interpreting how significant the current volume levels are. Historical Comparison: Investors and analysts often compare current daily trading volume to past volume levels to gauge the relative activity in the options market. For instance, an upward price movement accompanied by increased volume is often viewed as a stronger bullish signal compared to an upward movement with decreased volume. Confirmation of Price Movements: Volume analysis is often used in conjunction with price analysis and other indicators to confirm trends and chart patterns.Volatility Measurement: Increased daily trading volume can also be associated with higher volatility, especially if significant news or events are driving a large number of traders to buy or sell options contracts. For instance, a sudden increase in trading volume might indicate that a new trend is starting, while decreasing volume could signal a potential reversal or the end of a trend. Market Sentiment: Analyzing daily trading volume can also provide insights into market sentiment.A higher trading volume can also lead to narrower bid-ask spreads, reducing the cost of trading. Higher volumes often mean that the option contract is more liquid, making it easier for investors to enter or exit positions at their desired price levels. Liquidity Indicator: The daily trading volume is a primary indicator of options' liquidity.

Hells itch reddit11/1/2023 Two things I tried that provided very very brief temporary relief, but wore off almost immediately were: After that, I stayed out of the shower and the sun, and have had some strategies to maintain it my second time through After 30 minutes of pacing and screaming and patting myself with every water soaked towel I’d stuffed in the freezer, I took Benadryl and knocked out for about 6 hours. I jumped out of the shower so fast I didn’t rinse the shampoo out of my hair. Before I could blink my entire chest and stomach were burning like thousands of microscopic fire ants were beneath my skin gnawing away at me. I felt it start really small on my chest and I tried to hurry up in the shower and rinse off but it spread like wildfire. The panic that the itch brought, oh my god. I avoided sun exposure completely and stayed 100% covered all day. I made it through the entire second day with visible sunburn easily, and even went out to dinner. I showered that night and was fine, no problems. No biggie, I’ve had minor sunburns even after my last experience with hells itch, I thought only a horrible burn would cause it. Later that night I saw a very small sunburn on my chest and stomach. I fell asleep on a beach chair for no more than an hour and woke up almost shivering I was so cold, I’d thought nothing of it. I went to the beach this week and it was cloudy and cold, maybe 65-70 degrees and overcast with loads of wind. Easily one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in my life. I got a full body sunburn that made my skin tight like the top of a drum, and the itching came too soon after. I had laid out in the beating sun for hours, and I mean a hot 85° July day without sunscreen. I’ve had it once before about 3 years ago, and it hardened me emotionally. I gave myself hells itch for the second time after a very mild sunburn. The mod is also not very active here, so feel free to use the report button if there are any issues. The sub may not be very active, (especially in the winter), but every post counts. The purpose of this subreddit is to hopefully become a nexus for those that have experienced this dermal oddity, share information, studies, news, and remedies. It typically happens with a mild sunburns well away from blistering, however more severe burns can result in an itch lasting almost a week. This is not sun poisoning, nor is it an allergic reaction. The condition can last anywhere from 12 to 48 hours, where the first day is always the worst, and is gone as if it had never shown up. It can be fierce enough to cause muscle spasms, but in most cases, the experience is best described as truly maddening. Reliably 2-3 days after a reasonably mild (non-blistering) sun burn. Government budget constraint11/1/2023 Thus, in spite of some claims that Minsky should not be counted as one of the “forefathers” of Modern Money Theory (MMT), this paper argues that it is Minsky, not Lerner, whose work remains essential for the further development of MMT. However, Minsky never rejected his early beliefs that countercyclical government budgets must play a significant role in stabilizing the economy. Minsky’s views of functional finance became more nuanced, in line with his Institutionalist approach to the economy. The paper compares and contrasts the evolution of the views of Minsky and Lerner over the postwar period, arguing that Lerner’s transition went further, as he embraced a version of Monetarism that emphasized the use of monetary policy over fiscal policy. However, with the rise of the Phillips curve, the return of the Quantity Theory, the development of the notion of a government budget constraint, and accelerating inflation at the end of the 1960s, functional finance fell out of favor. It argues that the main principles of functional finance were relatively widely held in the immediate postwar period. This paper examines the views of Hyman Minsky and Abba Lerner on the functional finance approach to fiscal policy. Serious sam 4 gamepass11/1/2023 Hutchinson, the second-overall pick in the 2022 draft, already showed the depth of his potential when he racked up 9.5 sacks in his debut season and finished second in the Defensive Rookie of the Year voting, but he's off to an even hotter start in 2023. Keeping Hutch in Check – Detroit's defense has improved significantly over the one that finished last in yards allowed and 30th in points allowed a year ago, and the play of second-year defensive end Aidan Hutchinson is a big reason why. Every win is as important as the last one, but in terms of national perception, a victory over the streaking Lions would announce that the Buccaneers are a true contender in the NFC playoff hunt. The Lions may have already done so when they opened the NFL season with a road win over the defending-champion Kansas City Chiefs, but the Buccaneers' lone appearance in prime time so far this season ended in their only loss so far against the aforementioned Eagles. Sunday's matchup at Raymond James Stadium is an opportunity for either team to strengthen its bona fides within the conference hierarchy. The Buccaneers, conversely, did not engender high expectations for 2023 outside of their own headquarters and are thus considered on the early surprise teams in the NFC. At 4-1, the Lions have the third-best record in the conference and are delivering on the rather substantial preseason hype that their hot finish to 2022 generated. However, it's fair to say that the 5-0 San Francisco 49ers and the 5-0 Philadelphia Eagles – last year's NFC Championship Game opponents – are perceived as the powerhouses of the conference through five weeks. NFC Upstarts Vie for Conference Positioning – As noted above, the Buccaneers and Lions are the only two one or zero-loss teams playing each other in Week Six and both have taken early control of their respective divisions. The Lions, who won eight of their final 10 games last season, have maintained that momentum to start the 2023 season and present a very serious challenge to the Bucs' own efforts to stay on their early-season roll. Yet another 2023 draft pick, tight end Sam LaPorta is second on the team with 25 catches and has already scored three times. Another standout rookie, safety Brian Branch, has shined in the slot and has four passes defensed an interception. Detroit's defense ranks third against the run and sixth against the pass and is led by emerging-star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson and his 4.5 sacks. Through five games, those two have combined to rush for 550 yards, catch 19 passes and score six touchdowns. Jared Goff has put up numbers very similar to Mayfield's, including a 104.5 rating and a 9-3 TD-INT ratio, and his efforts have been supported by the new backfield duo of former Bear David Montgomery and first-round rookie Jahmyr Gibbs. Both of those units will be tested against a Lions team that ranks sixth in the NFL in both yards gained and yards allowed and has scored 29.6 points per game, good for fourth in the league.
